The Toycracker Premiere and Creating Traditions post is sponsored in collaboration with Target.
Traditions take on a whole new meaning every year for my family. My husband and I have spent almost two decades creating new memories with every passing year. As our family grows, so have our traditions. We love being in the moment of a tradition and having a blast from the past moment of “remember last time…”. We kicked off the holiday season with dinner at one of our favorite restaurants in town, this year it was a Japanese Steakhouse. We spent that entire evening dreaming up our plan for the next few weeks. Decorating the house, having a gingerbread making contest, baking treats for friends, taking a trip to see Santa. This year is extra special for us, with the addition of Miesha. I have a few more traditions I am looking forward to over the years, like seeing the Nutcracker. I used to love the Nutcracker, getting all dressed up and imagining I was a sugar plum fairy.
The holidays are a time for celebrating family traditions like watching classics together. This Sunday, we will snuggle up on the couch with our hot cocoa, popcorn and chocolate treats to catch the debut of a Broadway-style production called The Toycracker. The Toycracker is Target’s modern interpretation of the classic holiday tale of The Nutcracker.
The Toycracker mini-musical stars Oscar, Golden Globe and 10-time Grammy winning artist John Legend as The Rat King, television personality and No. 1 New York Times best-selling author Chrissy Teigen as The Nutcracker, and a cast of Target’s must-have holiday toys that come to life through computer generated animation.
