Time is ticking and we are in full blown, last-minute gift shopping mode. The Acer Convertible Chromebook R11, Touch Notebook is the affordable compact convertible laptop that fits the bill as the perfect gift. For my elementary and high school aged boys it was a toss-up between a tablet or a laptop. Now we can give them the best of both worlds with the Acer Chromebook R11.
I took this baby for a spin turning the Acer Convertible Chromebook R11, Touch Notebook into my workhorse for the week. I let my son have at it on his favorite game playing site Roblox and even watching YouTube Kids (with no issues). The Acer Chromebook convienently transitions into four distinct modes; a notebook, display, tent and pad, it’s great at working through my google docs and then transitioning with 360° dual-torque hinges allowing the Chromebook to easily convert the screen all the way around. Use the touchscreen feature to allow the Acer Chromebook R11 to become a fully functioning pad (one of my favorite options).

What do I think about the Acer Chromebook R11?
This sleek touch notebook was put to the test with my 10+ hour work day in front of the screen. The battery life handled perfectly (about 10 hours). I seamlessly worked through multiple tabs and my google powered apps made it beneficial for me to keep my work flow going. I could hand off the laptop to my little one to play games with my tabs still running with no issues. He even watched Youtube without having the lag of multiple things running in the background. I love that we can transition the laptop into a pad for a more streamlined version with even less bulk. Altogether the Acer Chromebook is great or my homeschoolers and me, I plan to get a second Chromebook or maybe even the Acer Aspire Cloudbook to help my boys get through their school day.
