Now that fall has officially arrived, I have three things on my mind. My middle sons Birthday, Thanksgiving, and Black Friday {yes, I am that girl}. These three important events happen within hours of each other and that makes for a very interesting few days.
I crave making my sons birthday memorable and turning it into it’s own entity that has nothing to do with the Holiday of giving Thanks. We make every attempt to not let one be overshadowed by the other. They both deserve their own special acknowledgement.
Black Friday is one of those nostalgic moments where I join forces with a few friends and attempt to stretch my holiday budget to the max. It’s an evening where we scour newspaper ads, stay up until hours that are preserved for sleep and get a little delirious off of caffeine.
Thanksgiving, need I say more! We reserve a minimum of 2 huge turkey’s one roasted,one deep fryed for this joyous day. Side dishes take on a life of their own and would be called entire meals in some homes. Left overs are a must and we cook more than enough for the sole purpose of sending everyone home with enough food to get them through the next couple of afternoons. This is something you appreciate about 4 pm on Friday afternoon.
Speaking of turkey, the folks over at Arby’s are bringing us a fall sandwich that is majorly crave worthy. The Grand Turkey Club masterpiece is ready and waiting for you to immerse yourself in it’s savory deliciousness.
I crave fresh, healthy and satisfying meals and always look for the healthier options when we venture into a fast food restaurant. That’s a feat on it’s own, especially if you have tried to be healthy at a fast food restaurant. Arby’s has taken a delicious roasted turkey, sliced it up and paired it with pepper bacon, swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato and a creamy dash of mayonnaise all inside a toasted {yes, imagine that} wheat bun. A toasted sandwich makes a cold sandwich ten times better. The Grand Turkey Club comes to you hot, fresh and mouths will water at it’s mere site.
Did I like this sandwich? I loved every bite, down to the bacon that trickled out half way through. The three pieces of bacon will fill every bite of this yummy sandwich anf the heaping portion of turkey makes this a memorable meal that I will be craving for a long time.
