Financial planning always sounded like something very wealthy people did or even like a mythical creature. I’d have more luck getting struck by lightning or getting a unicorn for my birthday; than having money this month to go towards a financial plan. Financial planning is not something a young Hispanic family like ours would normally do. Sometimes it feels like we are barely surviving to make ends meet. As a mom with three kids and a baby on the way, I become overwhelmed with thoughts about how my family would survive financially if things in our lives were to change dramatically. Maybe it’s the pregnancy hormones fueling my deep desire to get every little plan in order, or maybe it’s that I finally have a direction and someone holding my hand to get our families finance goals in order. The bottom line is we all could benefit from financial planning with brightpeak financial’s MoneyMyth.org.
We have two major financial goals for our family.
It has always been our dream to build our own home, like those mythical creatures we dream about, but have never actually seen. We didn’t even think it was conceivable to plan on a date we could start to build our dream home until we started evaluating the numbers and began our financial profile with brightpeak MoneyMyth.org.
Another huge life goal is having a nest egg that would protect my children’s future should something happen to my husband or me. This is one of those thoughts that crosses my mind quite often. I have sat contemplating the most scariest situations and how we could get through them. Or better yet, how my husband or I would get through them without each other’s help. Starting with brightpeak we feel comfortable planning for tomorrow and still enjoying our life now. brightpeak doesn’t aim to take the fun away from our lives; they aim to help us be smart with our money.
