Are you looking to get your family into the Halloween spirit?  We are in full swing and have been doing all types of family friendly pre-Halloween festivities around here.  My boys love Curious George, so much so that Dominic wants to be a monkey for Halloween.  So when the mail came last week and a DVD copy of the Curious George Halloween special A Halloween Boo Fest arrived the boys where thrilled for an immediate movie night.

A Halloween Boo Fest is a full-length movie that will be airing on PBS Monday October 28, 2013.  Set that DVR now, this is a must watch for the kiddos.  And it will surely get them excited for Halloween.  We plan on making a day of it and getting our pumpkin carving on right before the movie and roasting pumpkin seeds.  Keep an eye out for my favorite recipe on those Monday.

The movie features George’s first Halloween in the country, where he learns about the “Legend of No Noggin” – a spooky tale about a hat-kicking scarecrow who haunts the countryside on Halloween. George and his friend Allie are determined to find out if the tale is real.  Follow George as he finds the perfect costume for his chance to enter the contest at the town Boo Festival.

Now that you have Monday October 28th on your radar, get your own printable activity sheets.  A Curious George Mask and printable Tic Tac Toe Game.

We also received Curious George Goes to a Costume Party/Jorge el curioso va a una fiesta de disfraces – a Bilingual book about George’s adventure to a costume party and the fun he has when he gets to pick out hos own costume only to accidentally end up as a ghost.  You’ll have to read for yourself to see how it turns out.
