Decorative Ceiling Tiles sent me a faux tin ceiling tile and a foam ceiling tile to review. I was pleasantly surprised at how beautiful these tile pieces are. The faux tile is so beautiful we plan to cover our kitchen ceiling in the faux tin right after the new year.
Why I Love it:
It’s an alternative to real tin, which is a heavier material. Installing the faux tin pieces is as simple as glueing them up, something my husband and I can complete without hiring a handyman. The entire kitchen can be completed
for less than a few dinners out. Not only can you use this tile on your ceiling, but how about sassing up a wall at the end of a hallway. Or have your own glam back drop for picture taking. Use one or four as a focal point to any drab wall. Or turn it into a diy project, like I did.
With a hole punch, a piece of ribbon and glass magnets. I turned my faux tin tile into a magnet board on my office door. Perfect for any loose papers and pics I need to get organized and remembered.
My white styrofoam tile is resting on my fireplace mantel. I kind of like the pure white color and haven’t broken down and painted it brown as originally planned. I’m thinking my wall needs to be painted a dark color and the styrofoam tile can hang above the mantel. I love that these styrofoam pieces can be installed over a popcorn ceiling. Our previous home had popcorn ceiling and it drove me crazy.
