I am surrounded by some of the most talented people. My Tia Betina is probably the most creative person I know, she can whip up the most amazing invitations and holiday cards. She shared these beautiful poinsettias made out of book pages with me a couple of weeks ago and I am thrilled I get to share the how to with you. And talk about an easy project.

When cutting petals don’t worry about jagged cuts and petals that are not exactly the same.

Using a glue gun to secure points to make the poinsettia.

Give your poinsettia character by crumpling the petals and creating creases.

For that distressed old paper look use gold or brown paint. Brush lightly on the ends and creases. If you want to get creative try a bolder color.

Arrange the petals to form a full poinsettia.

Glue a pearl bead to the center and your done.

Use the DIY poinsettias as tree decor, on a wreath or at a tablescape.
