Do you Wash your Nose? Kids Xlear is here

Kids Xlear® (pronounced “clear”)  Saline Nasal Spray, contains the key ingredient of xylitol.  Xylitol is effective in relieving nasal discomfort and also an all natural and health enhancing substance.  Xlear® is a patented, non-addictive nasal spray.   The saline nasal spray can be used to wash, hydrate and moisturize the nasal passages by cleaning out the bacteria and particles that can lead to a cold, ear infection, sinusitis or the flu.  Germs are most effectively spread when we rub our noses with our hands and hand washing alone is not a proper preventative for communicable diseases.  Regular use of Kids Xlear is also said to be effective in reducing the occurrence of ear infections, particularly in children.

What do I think:

Perfect for all ages from a baby to adults and retailing at $6.99 this is the perfect compliment to a healthy daily routine.  My three year old took the spray like a champ.  He is very leery of taking medicine so I wasn’t sure how he would respond to a spray up his nose.  Shockingly it was easy peasy and he took it like a champ.  According to my three year old it didn’t bother him at all to have his nose cleaned.  We have tried multiple times over the last few weeks and without hesitation little man lets me give him a spray in each nostril.  If I can prevent my babies from getting sick, I am all for it. Since this also helps with stuffy noses, I am sure we will be needingXlear once the weather starts changing.

You can find Kids Xlear Saline Nasal Spray  at Whole Foods, Vitamin Shoppe, other fine natural products retailers nationwide and online.
