Good morning friends. My weekend is officially starting and I have so much to get done today, with two kids in tow. B decided he needed to stay home from school today, which I completely obliged to. It’s been a rough couple of weeks for him and he hasn’t fully adjusted to his new adventure of school. This is week 7 of school and the first day he has missed. The tears that he misses me when I go to pick him up has started to take a toll on the both of us. We are lucky enough to have a great support system at school that keeps me well informed of how he is doing. It boggles my mind that he does so well, has tons of fun and is making friends each day, but still has moments where when he is bored will get sad and tear up because he misses me. He thinks school should be continuous fun time, or else he wants to be home. I have tried to not baby him too much, and have stuck to my guns explaining how important it is for him to stick it out and not disrupt the class if he gets sad. Today he has already said he misses school (good sign), I did not give in and take him late when he said he wanted to go to school two hours later. I am hoping this long weekend will invigorate him to be ready to get back into the groove of school.
Today I am going on with my Friday as usual. It’s my weekly routine to get a trip in to Target, Hobby Lobby and the grocery store. Which means I will most likely spend too much money on things I don’t need, but can’t pass up and forget to buy some weekly essential.
