My hair is a huge part of how I identify myself. I grew up with thick and luxurious hair and I had no idea how much it helped my confidence as a woman. As I entered my mid-thirties I started to suffer from hereditary hair loss. It seemed like overnight my hair thinned out. I didn’t understand then what was going on, but I had to come up with ways to mask the spots that seemed to thin out. I couldn’t wear my hair up, I had to change the way I parted my hair and so on. One morning I broke down and begged my stylist to help. She suggested a short cut to give my hair a less weighted down look, and it helped remove the thinness from the length. I was still dealing with thinning patches and needed more serious help. I attributed my hair loss started as a result of having a baby and a couple of years later realized I was dealing with hereditary loss. During my hairs thinnest, I was scared to even touch it. Every time I ran my fingers through my hair, washed it, used styling tools and hair ties I cringed. I finally discovered a way to get my hair back using Women’s Rogaine® 5% Minoxidil Foam.
How I Got My Hair Back
Do you suffer from Hereditary Hair Loss?
Your hair volume and density decreases over time. Your hair starts shedding more and has increased in shower, pillow, and hair brush. Normal hair loss is 50-100 hairs a day; a consistent loss of 150 hairs a day is considered significant hair loss. If hair loss is sudden or patchy, consult a medical professional. You notice a widening part or visible scalp visibility.
What is Women’s Rogaine®?

Hereditary Hair Loss is a common problem.
Hair loss is a genetic condition stemming from either the mother or father’s side of the family and is commonly recognized by women in their 30s as a “diffuse” thinning over the top of the head and along the part.
- Wash your hair every other day. This will help to remove buildup and make your hair look healthier. The day after a blow out is always my best hair day.
- Don’t give up on your styling tools either. Use heat safe products to protect your hair and turn down the heat on those tools. No need to use high heat, when a medium setting works just as good.
- Try a new part to give a fuller appearance to your hair.
- Use Women’s Rogaine® 5% Minoxidil Foam regrowth treatment. This over-the-counter product works to give you your hair back.
