Getting Real with the Chaos of the Holidays #JCPenneyLatino #RealLatinoHolidays

I’m a busy mom of three boys.  Naturally, I dream of being super prepared for the holidays, gifts all purchased, wrapped and ready to pass out like Mrs. Claus.  A stocked fridge, all kinds of fabulous baking happening and our home decorated from top to bottom.  In reality, today I was scrambling to finish decorating.  Yes five days before Christmas I am hanging garland up.  I made my way to JCPenney this afternoon to finish my Christmas shopping.  Luckily I was able to check off my entire list in JCPenney.  Last minute stocking stuffers, a white elephant gift and 4 accessories for the cousins, I scored big time.  I still have yet to do any holiday baking, fingers crossed I get to that before Christmas comes and goes.  It’s busy, we are busy and this time of year seems to creep up on me faster than I can say “Merry Christmas”.  Aye, please tell me I am not the only one in a state of chaos?

For our family Christmas is a huge gathering filled with so many traditions.  Our entire extended family gets together to enjoy Christmas Eve and spend hours reminiscing and laughing, I try to remind myself that’s what is important.  We love the magic of Santa and keep him very much alive in our festivities.  Our motto is “if you don’t believe, you don’t receive”.  The older kids love to play along and  join in the fun of Santa.  We also share the true meaning of Christmas and make it about a celebration of Jesus.  It’s a nice blend of what’s important and what we feel makes our family time so special.

I am happy to share with you another JCPenney Latino real-life holiday tradition with Papa Claus by Anthony.

Congratulations
