Menu for Kids
Once I transitioned my breastfed baby to table food and my excitement wore off I that we were hitting another milestone. I had to deal with a toddler who didn’t eat much of anything. He was happy with a cup of milk and quite honestly had no appetite for anything else. My pediatrician was on me to get him off the constant milk and offer him only water until we broke the habit of an all milk diet. I needed a healthy menu for kids that would work for him.
I spent countless hours in the kitchen steaming, pureeing and making homemade recipes to tempt my very picky eater. I made it through three months of completely homemade meals. As we entered into chunkier foods we had a set back and my okay eater became a non-existent eater. He attempted to eat everything but after the flavor was gone he would spit out his food. The steaming, chopping, storing and uncertainty that my child was not getting all of his food groups and proteins started consuming me.
