I fell upon the book Naughty Makeover for Nice Girls, one evening. A blog friend of mine wrote a review on the book and was offering a chance to win your own copy. I entered the giveaway and won the book. The book is a guide to sexing it up in your everyday life. Not sexy trashy, but sexy classy. I like to think that I follow the “rules” of being a yummy mommy (the books sexy stylish mom). At least I make an effort to not come off as trashy and that has to be a step in the right direction, right?! I do follow trends and sometimes that can get me into trouble, but I for sure have to get points on wearing what makes me feel good and not always conforming to cookie cutter styles.
The book is by Dimitri James, the founder of SKINN Cosmetics and beauty expert. When I received an invite to his book signing here in San Antonio, I knew I had to attend. The book had captured me, and I wanted to know more about this makeup maestro. I fell in love with his fashion and beauty dos & donts and I learned quite a few tips to help me evolve as a yummy mommy. I sent my RSVP and invited a couple of my new SA blog friends Patty and @Jen along.

Dimitri spent time chatting about his book, some of his ventures and his favorite tips. I learned a ton, like what jeans I should have in my closet and that I may just need to keep my butt out of forever21 (well, maybe). We also scored amazing swag from the SKINN cosmetics line. As you may know, I am a makeup hoarder. I have no problem jumping into new brands and giving them a whirl.
