Memorial Day Weekend with Neutrogena Suncare is is a compensated campaign in collaboration with NEUTROGENA® and Latina Bloggers Connect.
Memorial day weekend kicks off summer in our world. Being a home school family has so many advantages and this year I find it more important than ever to not only teach my kids curriculum based knowledge, but I am strongly pushing to lead by example. Often times my husband and I giggle when one of our boys says or does something we do. Our children are sponges and love to be mini me’s. As I planned for Memorial day weekend, I wanted to make it as carefree as possible. Every single thing I do in life is a reflection of who I am. I make decisions with my kids in mind. We asked the kids what they wanted to do on Monday. Hit the pool, catch a movie, go bowling… It was a consensus that we hit our local gym for a few hours at the pool. I packed a travel cooler with sandwiches, fruit and hibiscus tea for lunch. It’s all about healthy options and skipping the junk food. In our pool bag I make sure to pack my favorite Neutrogena suncare products, sunglasses for everyone and UV swim shirts.
As we enter summer I made it a point to talk with the boys about the dangers of sun exposure and how important it is to have proper sun care. Paying attention to our body and always being aware of skin changes. As we got ready to head to the pool, I couldn’t help but marvel at everything they remembered. I had previously talked about how we don’t have to wait until we are in direct sunlight to wear sunscreen. It’s good practice to apply sunscreen before we head out of the house to go anywhere. We stood at the door way and I reached in my purse for the Ultra Sheer® Face + Body Stick Sunscreen. This easy to apply stick is a great size to toss in my everyday bag. It swipes on your skin easily and doesn’t leave a sticky or greasy residue. Perfect for my face, neck and arms.

For the boys, I opted for the Neutrogena Wet Skin Kids Sunscreen Spray. This easy to apply spray has an SPF 70+ and it can go on wet skin. No need to worry about drying off your precious little ones in between a day at the pool. I opt to use the bodystick on my boys faces and neck, because potentially spraying anywhere close to their eyes makes me nervous.
