Just because you are pregnant doesn’t mean you have to give up staying fit. As a matter of fact for most pregnancies it is important to stay active and get in some healthy and safe activity to prepare for delivery. There are so many changes going on in my body these days. I have altered my gym bag to better prepare this growing body with pregnancy gym essentials.

Maternity Belly Band
I live in belly bands these days because they allow my to wear my pre-pregnancy clothes without baring my belly. During workouts belly bands provide extra control. I also developed an abdominal hernia during my second trimester and felt significantly better while wearing the band.
Maternity & Nursing Sports Bra
Invest in a few great pregnancy and beyond bras. An essential sports bra that will take you past pregnancy is one of my main essentials. Look for a cotton sports bra that offers extra support and compression.
A great pair of maternity leggings that are comfortable are a daily essential. Especially for the gym.
Lightweight Cotton Tank
Keep cool in a lightweight tank at the gym.
Lightweight tennis shoes are best. I love a great running shoe for the gym.
I can’t live without my earbuds and a great playlist at the gym.
Invest in a nice stretch mark cream to keep your skin feeling moisturized. I tend to feel itchy when my dry skin rubs against leggings and a belly band. It’s a great feeling to be moisturized prior to wearing compression clothing.
