San Antonio Children’s Museum

Childrens Museum

Don’t let the boring old Tuesday nights get you down.  The San Antonio Children’s Museum is holding FREE KIDS’ {and Adult} NIGHT the third Tuesday of every month.  Enjoy free parking after 5:00 pm and a night at the Children’s Museum.  This is all part of Downtown Tuesday, an initiative to bring locals into downtown with free parking and other downtown fun.

Date nights with the husband no longer exist, so we took ourselves plus the three little’s to Kids’ Night Out.  Shockingly, I haven’t been to the Children’s Museum since I was a kid.  I was depriving my children, saying they had a blast is an understatement.  They were in sheer heaven at the amount of hands on activities.  I must say it is a great place to let your kids be kids, husbands be kids and moms wont get tugged because their children are bored.  So in a nutshell the Children’s Museum is my new hot spot.

kids free childrens museum If you time your visit, you can catch a science experiment (there are tons of events on the site calendar).  We caught a great experiment with a volcanic reaction using household items.

The boys did what they do best, used their imagination and pretended to be trolly drivers and passengers…

Played dress up in the Mission…

Made music and lots of noise…

Built towers to withstand an earthquake.

and drove a front end loader.

The Museum was one of our favorite spots, yet.  If you haven’t had a chance to take the family, I highly reccomend it.  The Next FREE Kids {and adults} night is October 16th.

Also don’t miss…

Friday September 28th is KidsNight Out 6-9:30pm.  Children 3 and up can enjoy an evening at the Museum for Pizza and a whole lot of FUN.  Parents get a night off, sounds like a blast if you ask me.  For all the details head over here.

3rd Annual Monster Bash!
