If you’re a long time reader you may have noticed the shift on my blog and social media. Fashion Fridays, beauty, what inspires me posts have all disappeared. I write more about my kids, pregnancy, even my dogs these days… I have been avoiding all the topics that I loved like the plague. My head space has been so different and as much as I wanted to get back to what I love around here, I haven’t found it in me to write about me, about what I’m doing and about what I love. I guess you could say I have been in a fog this entire pregnancy, but as they say, better late than never. I am embracing the single digits of this pregnancy.
I rummaged through my closet Thursday afternoon hoping to find something a little more flattering than the maternity palazzo pants I’ve been living in for weeks. I don’t want to finish out the last single digit weeks of this pregnancy in that depressing fog and I needed a distraction.
Embracing the single digits of pregnancy.
I headed out to Bless Your Heart Giftique to support my friend Christina of The Social Butterfly Gal. This little lady celebrated her 2 year anniversary and is also one of the most influential digital girl bosses out there. She is doing amazing things as a digital strategist and also has a new membership only community for bloggers.
It was actually the first time in quite a while that I even stepped foot into a boutique. Bless Your Heart has (2) locations, one in Bracken and one in Alamo Heights. I had never been to the Alamo Heights location, so I was thrilled to make my way over and swoon over everything.
I found the perfect carry-all not a diaper bag, but I am using it as a diaper bag from Consuela. I’ve always loved Consuela bags and in my search for the right carry all, I think I found it.
Fringe, boots/booties… be still my heart. I am obsessed with these Junk Gypsy Fringy booties.
Is there anything better than being in the presence of the woman who do what you do and support you? I think not! It was great to get some girl time and get back to the perks of my job. Pushing through everyday working for yourself, blogging, adulting, these girls get me. We have some of the same fears and lots of the same goals and for that I love that we can catch up. I always leave blogger events feeling inspired and ready for tomorrow.
The evening wound down with a great fashion show celebrating fall, fiesta (because, San Antonio y’all) and back-to-school styles. I’m still swooning over this Texas loving boutique.
For all of you going back-to-school and teachers, Bless Your Heart has you covered with an entire selection of the perfect shirts and accessories.
It felt good to get out of my pony tail, t-shirt and elastic waist pants. I just needed a little motivation AKA retail therapy to get me there.
