Stickers with the Silhouette Cameo

Last week Christmas came early this beauty arrived at my door.  With Thanksgiving and family over I had no choice but to wait until the dust had settled to break this baby in.  It has been all set up on my desk begging to be used.  Our home is back to semi-normal and I had a chance to play with my new toy.

What is a Silhouette Cameo?

It’s a digital cutting tool that can be used on different mediums.  Vinyl, stickers, fabric, glass etching, cardstock, and more.  The opportunities are endless!

I will admit, I was slightly intimidated and not sure where to start.  I have so many ideas in my head, but knew I needed to start with beginner projects to really understand the cameo.  So today I pulled out the printable foils with sticker backing and tried out a few simple fonts and gave the Cameo a go.   It took me an entire 5 minutes to add a quote to my plain and boring makeup container.

So then I thought, I should try more intricate fonts.

For my first projects and first time ever using my Cameo, I was truly impressed.  This is totally beginner cutting projects, but I was concerned that I wouldn’t be able to transfer a project over – I am certain the Cameo is going to make projects a piece of cake.

I have vinyl that I am working with tonight on the Silhouette Cameo, so stop by tomorrow and see how that project turns out.
