My kids had an amazing Halloween. They didn’t want to stop trick-or-treating so we trekked on through the neighborhood house after house for over an hour. Now we sit at home with two buckets full of candy that my boys have not much interest in {they are so not like their mother}. I could eat this stuff until my belly hurts, but to save myself from the bulge I have restrained the urge a lot a little.
What to do with all this perfectly good, wrapped candy?
- If you don’t know what to do with all that left over Halloween Candy, send it to Operation Shoebox! Candy is sent to troops!
Operation Shoebox
8360 E Highway 25
- Share the candy with an homage to 30 days of Thanks! Give a bag of goodies to someone you really appreciate, postman, Walmart greeter (ours is 85 and he is there 3 days a week for 8 hours), front office clerk? Grab the Free printable tag, courtesy of “it is what it is” HERE.
- Pack it up and separate into baggies. Wrapped chocolate can go in baggies and stored in the freezer. Separate sweet treats that will go good in popcorn trail mix. Make a mix of favorites for movie nights.
