It had been a long time since I have heard the voice of Mrs. Frizzle, “Seatbelts, everyone!”. I must of been 11 or so when I first saw the series The Magic School Bus. It is one of the legendary nostalgic pieces of my childhood that was a must watch, even throughout high school. The boys are really into cartoons and I knew they would really enjoy this series. I played the first DVD of the complete series and mid-way through had my little guys hooked. My middle child is particularly fond of the series {on the verge of obsessed} and I don’t mind one bit. He would watch an episode of The Magic School Bus over doing just about anything else.
Each series takes Mrs. Frizzle’s class on a field trip adventure. Learning hands on science it’s a mix of funny, quirky and an informative learning experience. The show appeals to all ages as the dialogue is perfect for little ones and adults. I am a huge fan of the shows and reminisce in watching them along with my boys. The boys have enjoyed episode after episode. Since we have become hooked on Mrs. Frizzle and her class, it has turned our 3 yr. old into quite the observer. He now has a set of binoculars and enjoys walking around with a journal and pencil to take notes on “research” he finds. I am so glad we brought The Complete series into our home. It has encouraged my guys to learn and get hands on. Perfect for our little homeschoolers.
