I talk a lot about summer makeup and how my beauty bag goes through seasonal changes. My very favorite makeup isn’t always found in a department store makeup counter, it’s found in my HEB grocery store. The highlight of my grocery trips happen when I find a new gem tucked away in the beauty dept. I get an even bigger thrill when I find a product in my grocery store that trumps a department store item. Today I bring you not one, but four gems in my top summer beauty picks found in the HEB Beauty Dept.

Revlon Colorburst Lip Stain in Sweetheart Valentine

Pink is usually a hard color for me to wear, but sweetheart valentine is a favorite of mine. I am a huge fan of lip stains, because I get so occupied during the day and reapplying anything rarely gets done. I found that the Revlon Colorburst Lip Stain allows me to still have color hours after I have applied it. Sweetheart Valentine is also a complementing color that goes well on my skin tone. This lip stain goes on matte so it doesn’t have an overpowering gloss or shine to it. It does apply a deep stain that gives a ton color and will not wipe off completely, even with makeup wipes you will still have pigment color on your lips. This is a very moisturizing lip stain.

Milani Baked Blush in Dolce Pink

Pink cheek hues are perfect for summer and brighten up dewy, sun kissed skin. I love these baked blush pots from Milani, this pot will last forever and has a high pigment tone. Use minimally as it is a deep pigmented blush.

*Tip: Use a large buffer or kabuki dust off shimmer and apply. This will lesson the shimmer applied.

L’Oreal Volumous Miss Manga Mascara

Mascara can do a lot of things for your eyelashes. for me I look for lengthening and voluminous mascara. Miss Manga offers bold voluminous lashes. It produces a thick look and has a flexor brush that helps get those little hidden lashes in the corners. Be cautious applying multiple coats as it will clump if you keep trying to apply.

Almay intense i-color

Applying eyeshadow has never been so easy. I love the look of subtle eyeshadow during the day. With Almay intense i-color stick you get two shades of color. I use the lighter gold side to highlight the corner lid and below the brow and the blue side to fill in the lid and blend. I always wear liquid eyeliner and I love the the Almay intense i-color stick works great for day time. It gives my eyes dimension without adding to much color.
