HEB 3 Double-O Nine Restaurant & Bar | Schertz Grand Opening

I was invited to the preview of 3 Double-O Nine Restaurant & Bar.

In Texas HEB supermarkets are at the top of the food chain so to speak. The grocery store chain is once again raising the bar with the opening of the fourth chef inspired restaurant. The newest location is in the San Antonio area at the 3009 (3 Double-O Nine) HEB in Schertz. 3 Double-O Nine Restaurant & Bar is taking a full range comprehensive dining menu and bar experience that will satisfy all ages.

The grand opening of 3 Double-O Nine Restaurant & Bar is Friday April 17, 2015 at 11 am.

The restaurant menu is inspired by award-winning chef and restaurant veteran Randy Evans. 3 Double-O Nine offers a multi-concept menu that includes the Texas staple of barbecue meats all smoked on-site with Texas Post Oak available on plate or by the pound. From sandwiches, street tacos to pizzas you can satisfy everyone’s tastes.

Enjoy a dozen True Texas Brews on tap, plus a variety of bottled beers, over 20 different wines and original cocktails.

From Small plates that include delicious Green Chili Mac & Cheese balls with a cilantro yogurt dipping sauce.

Fried Green Tomatoes and remoulade sauce.

Creole shrimp and grits: Wild gulf shrimp sautéed in New Orleans BBQ Sauce on a bed of chipotle cheddar stone ground grits.

Korean fried chicken: Crispy Fried half bird tossed in spicy Korean chili glaze served with Kimchi mash and Asian braised greens.

My favorite craft-made cocktail, the Avocado pineapple martini.

Marble Fudge Brownies a la mode: fudge and Blondie brownies swirled with chocolate chips and pecans. Served with Creamy Creations 190 Vanilla Ice Cream.
