I have to laugh when I go bra shopping. It has turned into a joke to find a bra that is the perfect fit. If you don’t know me personally, I had a breast augmentation in 2005. Before then frankly I don’t know that I really ever needed a bra for “support”. I have tried just about every name brand bra out there trying to find the perfect blend of support, comfort and that looked great. I have a few that work but nothing to scream about.
Going to get fitted for a bra has it’s limitations and lets face it getting fitted is not fun, but then again neither is trying on 24 different bras to figure out if a demi cup or full coverage cup is going to work. Is there anyone out there that is perfectly the right size, anyway? In-between sizes don’t exist and the dreaded bigger cup size and smaller band size issue gets me every time. So technically, I fall in between sizes and my bra fitter will usually just guess her best size for me.

Choose the cup that fits over your breast perfectly. A little tip I learned is to lean over and place the cup under your breast then stand straight up. Keep adjusting bigger or smaller cups using the same method until you find the cup that fits perfectly. Think about “spillage” or “gaps” in the cup as you try on (you don’t want either of those happening). Once you decide which number you are measure your band size. The measuring tape is color coded which makes it easier to decide.
