Thanks to JW Marriott Lantana Spa for inviting me to a spa day.

How many times do you sit back and dream of a spa day? I do quite often, especially with the kind of days I have been having. My to do list keeps growing, I feel like I only step out of the kitchen long enough for someone to utter “I’m hungry” {again} and honestly I go months without pampering myself. I’m lucky to swipe a new polish on my toes. But as a mom you know how that goes, we cater to everyone else.
A month ago I visited the beautiful JW Marriott San Antonio Lantana Spa with a few of my SA blogger friends. The magnificent JW Marriott resort is a piece of heaven nestled in the outskirts of San Antonio in the beautiful Hill Country. It’s an experience to even drive into the property. The property boasts seven restaurants, six acres of heated pools, lazy river and water slides, golf course and the Lantana Spa. Lets talk about the spa for a moment. You don’t have to be staying at the hotel to enjoy a day at the spa. Although, I promise you will want to get a suite here and you won’t want to leave.

The Lantana Spa is 26,000 square feet of pampering with a private pool, massages, body treatments, facials, nail care, whirl pool, steam rooms, saunas, boutique and REPLENISH spa cafe.
My visit started out with a light lunch at REPLENSIH. I had the delish Heirloom tomato salad, house made mozzarella and fresh basil. Also notice that red ribbon? Upon arrival at the Lantana Spa each guest is given this ribbon as part of the “Seven Knots Ritual”. This ritual is to release worries and stress and prepare you for the spa experience. You tie seven knots in the ribbon, one for each worry, the seventh knot creating a complete circle. At the end of your spa journey you leave your worries behind and start anew.

See that beautiful staircase? At the bottom atop the wood carving is where you drop your red knotted ribbon.

While waiting for services, relaxing or just having a moment with friends you can enjoy a hot tea, water or other beverage in the ladies lounge.

I opted for a pedicure in this cozy little private nook. It’s the perfect beginning to a much needed spa day.

I left my spa day feeling like a new person. A few hours is all I needed to feel energized and refreshed. I can’t wait for my next visit to Lantana Spa with my mom for a weekend staycation for just us girls.
