Fool Proof Spring Cleaning Schedule #StockUpSave

The Spring cleaning schedule is part of a sponsored collaboration post for SheSpeaks and Walmart.

My seven-year old walked by me today as I was dusting and said “who’s coming over?”! Internally I was laughing, but gah son I clean all. day. long. Then after dinner my oldest son asked if I could help him clean his bathroom. I realize my cleaning up until now hasn’t been on any kind of schedule. It’s usually  “oh, that really needs to be cleaned”. With three boys, I feel like my life is to clean up after them. This year I have come up with a spring cleaning schedule we can all pitch in and accomplish.

Cleaning is a huge chore, but it doesn’t have to be stressful. With a family plan you can get organized and prepped for a clean spring season.

Spring Cleaning Schedule

Prep Day:

Keep, Toss, Donate

Start a keep, toss and donate pile. Clean out the winter goods, old toys, go through drawers, closets, and purge all the stuff that has accumulated throughout the past year.

Once the clutter and old items have been removed and the donate pile is out of the room, you can start the deep cleaning.

Cleaning Days:

Tackle a set number of Rooms a Day

Don’t let yourself become overwhelmed with the spring cleaning schedule. Find a cluster of days that works best for your families schedule and together tackle two rooms a day. I like to pick a large and small room to tackle each day so that we don’t feel overwhelmed and we only spend a couple of hours accomplishing.

Top to Bottom Washing

Fill a bucket with warm water and Dawn dish soap. Using clean rags start to wipe down top to bottom. Ring rags out a bout so they do not make a mess. Replace with clean water as needed.
