It’s time to take care of me.  Worry about my health and get fit.  Oh yeah, and change out that wardrobe.  No more layers, I am packing up the sweaters, pulling out my wedges and sandals, because it’s SPRING!  After getting pregnant with Dominic, I haven’t even been close to my goal weight.  Everyone says, you have three kids don’t expect to have the body you had in your 20’s.  Well I am so not agreeing with them and I am making my thirties my healthiest yet.  I will hit my goal weight and be healthier than ever.

Feel better about myself with and without clothes on.  I am not and will never be perfect, but I know what will realistically make me happy.

Have more energy, you know to keep up with three boys.

Fit into my favorite pair of jeans that have been sitting in my closet for 3 years (I refuse to give them up).

Hit my goal weight of 112, I weighed this at my first dr’s. appointment when I was pregnant with my second.

Set realistic goals weekly and stick to them.

Smart Snack Shopping

Grocery shop realistically for items you will eat and have time to eat between baby.  Shop for portion control items, look at labels for ingredients and plan for 4 small daily meals and snacks throughout the day.  Make meals ahead of time when you can to make eating a meal easier.  I often found the day goes by and I haven’t had a chance to eat a real meal.

Hydrate with at least 4 bottles of water a day.  I hate to say this as an adult, but I don’t drink enough water – ever.  I am holding myself accountable with 4 bottles a day and nothing else.  No more soda but for my carbonated fix drinking a Delish sparkling lime spring water found at Walgreens.

I am a snacker and love chocolate.  I have traded in the junk food for granola, trail mix and for my chocolate fix, pomegranate covered in dark chocolate. Oh my goodness – YUM!  Everything in moderation and with serving size portions in check.

I am taking realistic steps to get healthy and reach my goals while having fun.  Taking the kids to the zoo for long walks and a healthy picnic.  Using the wagon or stroller to get my cardio in for walks in the neighborhood.
