Are you ready to submit sus comunidades cause for consideration of a fantastic grant through the State Farm Neighborhood Assist app. They are accepting cause submissions NOW until the first 4,000 submissions have been received – on or before March 23rd. If you recall a couple of weeks ago I shared the submission details to make your Hispanic community a better place. State Farm is offering 40 $25,000 causes.
I had been counting down the days until submissions opened. I grew up in a middle class part of town with a large Latino population. My mom, dad, brother and his family still live in the neighborhood I grew up in. A place I will always call home and a place my family will eventually head back to in a couple of years. I have been thinking a lot about how my own children will be going to the same schools I attended as a child. The same ball fields we spent our springs at and the park that was just a walk away from my childhood home. These are beautiful places, but with time have faded, aged and become a less innovative experience. I would love for my old neighborhood park to be a recipient of one $25,000 grant. A face lift for the park I loved as a kid, would be the perfect way to make my childhood community a better place. And a place I would be thrilled to share with my own children when we make the transition back to my old stomping grounds.
Do you have a place in your community that is near and dear to you that could highly benefit from a $25,000 grant? I am sure you could think of a few, so what are you waiting for? As of writing this post there are 2,437 submissions left. Check out the State Farm App and enter your submission.
