Post is in collaboration with SEA LIFE Grapevine Aquarium and LEGOLAND Discovery Center.
If you’re looking for a spring break (or anytime) family outing that keeps kids engaged and gives parents a break from the Texas heat, LEGOLAND Discovery Center should be on your radar.
One thing I love about LEGOLAND Discovery Center is that there’s always something new to look forward to and just in time for spring break, they delivered in a big way. Two new attractions recently opened: LEGO Friends Heartlake City and the all-new LEGO NINJAGO City Adventure.
Let’s be honest… we are secretly very excited about NINJAGO City.
What Is LEGOLAND Discovery Center Dallas/Fort Worth?
Located inside Grapevine Mills Mall, LEGOLAND Discovery Center Dallas/Fort Worth opened in March 2011 and has been a favorite indoor attraction for families ever since. This 35,000-square-foot indoor LEGO playground is designed especially for children ages 3 to 10, but parents will find plenty to enjoy too.
Plan to spend about two to three hours exploring and trust me, time flies when kids are building, racing, climbing, and imagining.
What You’ll Find Inside
LEGOLAND Discovery Center is packed with hands-on, interactive experiences that combine fun and learning:
-
Hands-on LEGO play areas where kids can build freely
-
LEGO rides that add a little thrill to the experience
-
A 4D cinema that brings LEGO stories to life
-
Special party rooms for birthdays and celebrations
-
The signature MINILAND exhibit, featuring detailed LEGO replicas of iconic North Texas landmarks
The newest additions LEGO Friends Heartlake City and LEGO NINJAGO City Adventure add even more excitement, especially for kids who love storytelling, role-play, and action-packed play.

Don’t Miss SEA LIFE Grapevine Aquarium (Right Next Door!)
One of the biggest perks? SEA LIFE Grapevine Aquarium is located directly next door to LEGOLAND Discovery Center inside Grapevine Mills Mall making it easy to turn your visit into a full day of fun.
SEA LIFE Grapevine Aquarium transports you into an underwater world filled with fascinating sea creatures. You’ll see everything from starfish and seahorses to graceful rays and powerful sharks.
The highlight for many families is the 360-degree ocean tunnel, where sea life swims all around you. With 30 display tanks and thousands of sea creatures, it’s easy to linger and honestly, we could stand and gaze into the tanks all day. Bonus: it’s a perfect escape from the Texas heat. To get any closer, you’d have to get wet!
Should You Visit?
If you’re planning a family trip, spring break staycation, or rainy-day outing, LEGOLAND Discovery Center Dallas/Fort Worth and SEA LIFE Grapevine Aquarium make an ideal combo. Both attractions are indoor, interactive, educational, and fun. A win for kids and parents alike.

PEPPA PIG World of Play Dallas
For families with preschoolers, PEPPA PIG World of Play Dallas is a must-visit. Also located inside Grapevine Mills Mall, this unique indoor play center offers an immersive, interactive experience rain or shine.
Designed specifically for younger children, this themed attraction features 14 free-roaming play areas that bring Peppa Pig’s world to life. Little ones can jump, climb, explore, and giggle their way through an oinktastic adventure.
