Last month I shared with you Nissans Passion Genome campaign and how the Versa Note could help you discover your own passions. Today I want to share with you one of my passions. I grew up in a middle class neighborhood, where my parents drove middle class cars and we lived in a simple middle class home. I was always content and rarely ever envied the idea of having more. My entire high school career revolved around, me being part of something bigger. I didn’t realize what exactly I was doing at the time, but I was given plenty of opportunities to be part of giving back in my community. It drove me to give back and as an adult and my passion has become being a giver to my community.
I have been lucky enough to partner with the San Antonio Goodwill stores, most recently with their in-store workshops. I was given the opportunity to share a craft with shoppers to give them a fun costume. Whole Foods in the Vineyard was kind enough to see my vision through and donated paper sacks. I purchased the materials and spent an afternoon at my local Goodwill helping children create fun paper sack monster masks and vests.
My boys included thought this was one of the best crafts we have ever done.
