Premios Tu Mundo is taking place tonight 8/15. I am thrilled to see the blue carpet predictions from L’Oréal Paris brand ambassadors Marcos Carrasquillo and Claudia Betancur. From Miami-chic to Old Hollywood glam, it’s an exciting year to follow the beauty trends of the stars.
Premios Tu Mundo Blue Carpet Predictions by Marcos Carrasquillo, L’Oréal Paris Brand Ambassador
L’Oréal Paris: What hair trends do you see walking this blue carpet?
Marcos Carrasquillo: “The hair trends we expect to see this Thursday will be a mix of Hollywood glamour along with a Miami touch, thus achieving a ‘Miami Chic’ look, which is what I call it.”
L’Oréal Paris: Which hair style will dominate this blue carpet?
Marcos Carrasquillo: “We will see big waves that recreate Old Hollywood glamour, so tousled and messy waves, for sure. Something I expect to see on one of my favorite clients, Gaby Espino.”
L’Oréal Paris: We love Gaby Espino! What do you think we should expect from the beautiful Natalia Jimenez?
Marcos Carrasquillo: “For Natalia, I predict a high ponytail. We will definitely see some ponytails on other celebrities, accompanied by different styles like waves or braids. The looks will definitely be a bit playful with their high ponytails….so either a very high traditional ponytail or a 50’s classic ponytail to the side.”
Premios Tu Mundo Blue Carpet Predictions by Claudia Betancur, L’Oréal Paris Brand Ambassador
L’Oréal Paris: Claudia, what makeup look do you think will own this blue carpet event?
Claudia Betancur: “Definitely bold eyes. We will see dark eyes marked in the basin with extreme colors such as blue, violet, and coffee shades. Big, sexy eye lashes too.”
L’Oréal Paris: We’re excited about Gaby Espino hosting Premios Tu Mundo again. What makeup look can we expect to see on her?
Claudia Betancur: “Gaby has beautiful almond-shaped eyes and she always uses a dark black eye liner to have her eyes perfectly marked. It helps her achieve that sexy, cat-eye look with fair-toned eye shadow. Her look will be all about the eye liner vs. eye shadow.”
L’Oréal Paris: Another celebrity we’ve been stalking is Natalia Jimenez…her new album is coming out and we are excited to watch her performance! Any cool looks for her?
Claudia Betancur: “Natalia has such a unique glamour. I think she will go with a very classic makeup look. Her lips will be the one to steal all the attention. She’s definitely going to use something bold such as a red or orange shade on her lips. She’ll have eye liner and voluminous lashes to keep the Old Hollywood touch.”

Gaby Espino
Hair Recommendations by Marcos Carrasquillo, L’Oréal Paris Brand Ambassador
To achieve an impeccable shine and hair color like Gaby Espino’s, use the L’Oreal Paris Excellence Crème in 2B. It helps repair and protect the dead ends while the color also gives you 100% coverage.
Now to wash and condition your hair, use the L’Oréal Paris Advanced Haircare Color Vibrancy Nourishing Shampoo and Conditioner. This duo instantly helps nourish and protect colored hair for up to 8 weeks, giving your colored-treated hair long-lasting, vivid color.
Follow with the L’Oréal Paris Advanced Haircare Color Vibrancy Dual Protect Spray. It’s a no-rinse spray that can be used daily and works as a leave-in treatment to condition color-treated hair instantly. It also protects from heat styling tools.
Proceed to dry hair, and then use a curling iron to create a curl of 2 inches in width and divide your hair into sections, rolling up your hair in the same direction. Recreate Gaby’s waves and achieve that Miami chic look she’s going for.
After you’re done curling, use the L’Oréal Paris EverStyle Texture Series Energizing Dry Shampoo lightly throughout the hair. Spray your hair from a distance of 6-10 inches and then brush all your hair to get the desired waves. This dry shampoo is 100% powder-free and adds texture where needed, extending the duration of your hairdo without leaving hair feeling heavy or greasy.
To finish the look, use the cult favorite L’Oréal Paris Elnett Satin Extra Strong Hold Hairspray. Spray 6 inches away from your hair, this way it prevents too much stiffness or sticky residue.

Use the new L’Oreal Paris Revitalift Miracle Blur Oil-Free to prep skin for makeup. It gives the skin a very smooth texture while tightening pores so the makeup will last longer. This works as a primer, preventing oily skin to happen, which is what causes makeup to run. My favorite thing about the Miracle Blur is that it can be used on all types of skin.
Next, use a concealer like the L’Oréal Paris True Match Super-Blendable Crayon Concealer to eliminate dark circles and illuminate features. We can use this “magic crayon” under the eyes, around and above your nose to highlight its shape.
To finish off with flawless skin, use the L’Oréal Paris True Match Super Blendable Makeup(available in 32 shades). This foundation has a natural coating which has every possible shade to match skin tone (which I love!) and leaves skin looking radiant.
Next up, the eyes. As I mentioned, Gaby has almond-shaped eyes which are ideal for a black liner. Use the L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche Eye Liners in Black. Mark around the edge of the eye to highlight the cat’s eye – this pencil glides along perfect so it’s perfect for application.
To finish the eyes, use the new L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Million Lashes Excess Mascara. This will help give your eye lashes more volume, keep them thick and last all day. Another plus, is that it’s available in Waterproof and avoids smudges and the mascara to run.
Gaby’s lips will have a very natural glow – little color but ideal for red carpet. Use the L’Oreal Paris Colour Caresse Shine Stain by Colour Riche in Eternally Nude for a soft finish.

Natalia Jimenez
Hair Recommendations by Marcos Carrasquillo, L’Oréal Paris Brand Ambassador
To achieve Natalia Jimenez’s look, start with using the L’Oréal Paris Advanced Haircare Smooth Intense Shampoo and Conditioner. This powerful duo has a powerful combination of ingredients (Oleoqueratina & Arginine-K Complex) that helps smooth and control hair.
Follow with the L’Oréal Paris EverCurl Hydracharge Cleansing Conditioner that works as an intense relaxer to smooth out the curls. This cream helps with eliminating frizz for thick, coarse hair and also facilitates styling with a hair dryer.
After you’ve blow dried your hair, use a flat iron to achieve perfectly straight hair. Create a high-rise ponytail to desired height and use a hair tie.
Once your hair is fixed in a high ponytail, apply the L’Oréal Paris EverStyle Smooth & Shine Serum to instantly restore your hair from heat damage and provide a healthy shine. It also creates an invisible barrier of moisture to help eliminate frizz and seal with a healthy glow.
Afterwards, create a traditional braid and secure with elastic. Keep the braid in a spiral-shaped form.
To finish this look, use the L’Oréal Paris Elnett Satin Extra Strong Hold Hairspray. Apply from a six-inch distance to add a long-lasting hold.

Makeup Recommendations by Claudia Betancur, L’Oréal Paris Brand Ambassador
As I said before, the best way to prep skin for makeup is to apply a good skincare product such as the L’Oreal Paris Revitalift Miracle Blur Oil-Free. This softens the skin texture and reduces wrinkle lines.
To achieve Natalia’s Old Hollywood glamour, it’s ideal to use the L’Oréal Paris True Match Super-Blendable Crayon Concealer to keep skin looking fresh and healthy.
For the eyes, use the new L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche Eye Liners (preferably in Black or Violet) and create a line above the eye, lying close the lashes. This will create a Marilyn Monroe effect and gives the eyes a strong expression and accentuated look.
Apply the L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Million Lashes Excess Mascara to help your lashes achieve a perfect expression and help your eyes stand out.
Add some color to your cheeks with a little blush on the apples of your cheeks. Preferably a coral shade to make it look natural and health like the L’Oreal Paris Visible Lift Color Lift Blush in Coral Lift.
For your lips, add some vivid color like the L’Oreal Paris Colour Caresse by Colour Riche in Fiery Veil and this will give your “Natalia Jimenez” look the finishing touch.
