Six Flags Tailgating Chicken Snack

Yesterday we headed to one of our favorite amusement parks for a little bit of thrills and tons of sun.

We packed up our swim gear, extra set of clothes, a cooler of drinks, plenty of cut up fruit and Tyson Chicken fries for a tailgate chicken snack. I filled containers with hot out of the oven cut in half chicken fries placed them in food containers and kept them toasty in a food safe thermal bag. The fruit stayed fresh in our cooler. I also took along cupcake liners to cut out the need of plates and utensils.

We made sure to get to the park right at opening to avoid as many long lines as possible and get to see the kids favorite characters. Who doesn’t love Bugs Bunny?

Then it was time for the little kids favorite rides.

Plenty of walking and taking in the fun in the sun at Fiesta Bay Boardwalk.

I may be off but, I think we rode the crazy cars 4 times in a row with a promise to get on them next time.

As the temperature started to rise, we made a pit stop at the splash pad which is so conveniently set in the middle of the park. This is why we always go to the park in trunks. You never know when you might need to hit the water areas.

We had quite the weather yesterday, it went from a scorching 104 degrees to 85 degrees in a matter of minutes. Which meant one thing, lunch time! We made our way out of the park for our mid-day snack.

Fiesta Texas has their own out of the park picnicking area, but with the threat of rain looming over us we decided to play it safe and tailgate in the parking lot. I filled cupcake liners with chicken fries perfect for my boys to eat mess free without needing a table.

Nothing like a tailgate easy snack chicken and fruit to take care of our mid-day hunger.

This turned out to be the perfect family outing. My boys love a day at Six Flags Fiesta Texas. We were able to save a ton of money on lunch and spend it playing games in the park. I was also a little concerned with my boys eating heavy and then heading back into the park for more rides.
