Rubbermaid FreshWorks Produce Saver #FreshWorksFreshness

Rubbermaid #FreshWorksFreshness review

This is a sponsored post for SheSpeaks/Rubbermaid.

We go through fresh produce like crazy in my house. I’d like to say that we eat everything I purchase, but in actuality I throw more than half of it out. My weekly grocery trip consists of replacing moldy and stale produce I just bought the week before. I received Rubbermaid FreshWorks Produce Saver containers and gave them 10 day freshness challenge to see if we could extend the life of our produce.

How to keep produce fresher longer #FreshWorksFreshness

How To Use Rubbermaid FreshWorks Produce Saver

The Rubbermaid Freshworks produce saver containers and all the parts are dishwasher safe. The patented FreshVentTM technology is attached to the lid to keep produce fresher up to 80%* longer than traditional produce packaging. The FreshVent regulates the flow of oxygen and carbon dioxide and along with the CrispTrayTM  the two reduce moisture and spoilage.

Before using your Rubbermaid FreshWorks Container make sure that all the pieces are completely clean and dry.

Take your dry produce straight from your grocer containers and into dry Rubbermaid FreshWorks Container. Only add fresh produce, throw out any that is starting to wilt or go bad.

Don’t clean, rinse or cut your produce prior to storing it. Close the lid and place your containers in the refrigerator.

Rubbermaid FreshWorks Review

Yesterday was day 10 and I have been using a few strawberries and berries here and there.  I decided to make a fruit salad and take a good look at my strawberries and raspberries. I stored strawberries, raspberries and romaine lettuce in my Rubbermaid FreshVent FreshWorks containers. After just 4 days I already noticed how fresh my strawberries stayed, when usually I am picking out mushy and moldy fruits. I am able to plan out a better week of adding fresh produce to my meal plan without having to rush to use what I can before it has to be tossed out. Day 10 I did have two strawberries that started to go bad. I tossed them to prevent the others from going bad also. Overall I still had plenty of fresh strawberries. The raspberries stayed fresher and I had none that didn’t look fresh. My lettuce still has that crunchy fresh look.  10 day freshness challenge Rubbermaid FreshWorks Produce Saver #FreshWorksFreshness

There is no sad produce and wasted money to toss. The containers are also microwave safe and BPA-free.
