Day 2 is extra special and I could never ever thank this kid enough. An only child for 8 years he only knew us as a family of three. Not for lack of trying but it was fate that would give us one-on-one attention to this sweet boy. When he became a brother this sweet little boy turned into a father figure. Not because he had to but because it is in his nature to nurture and protect more than I could ever dream a person could be to their siblings. I protect him and his two brothers, but he protects them better than I ever could imagine a brother could.
I can sit back and watch him entertain them with a natural ability to soothe a toddler into a calm quiet, put a baby to sleep with a gentle hug and entertain with a story if he had too. No bribing or pleading just the natural ability to be someone his little brothers adore.
