ten reasons to visit Virginia Beach #VirginaBeach

With summer in full bloom, I am faced with the overwhelming task of keeping three boys occupied.  One of our favorite things to look forward to during summer is our annual family vacation.  The great thing is, it is never to late to plan a trip.  When I think of summer the first thing I think about is the beach.I had the opportunity to post about Virginia Beach and my top ten reasons why I would want to visit.

Let me start with the number one reason!  Three little boys who think that the beach is the perfect place to be.  Who isn’t ready for some warm waves, soft sand in their toes, and the warm sun on your face.  We could spend all day building sand castles, burying our feet in the sand and jumping in waves.

Believe it or not, I love fishing!  Like really love it, I could sit out with a fishing pole for hours on end.  Virginia Beach has amazing piers, offshore fishing and on the shore fishing.  My husband and boys have also taken quite a liking to fishing.

Biking on the boardwalk and then a outdoor lunch at the local cafe. Definitely rank at the top of my to do list.  Three miles of boardwalk make for an adventurous ride for the five of us.

The aquarium and Marine Science center is another must.  With IMAX movies and up close and personal experiences with live animals.  We will be sure to check out the behind the scenes Sea Turtles. My kids would not want to leave.  Neither would I 😉 .

The Virginia beach Rock gym would be perfect for my oldest son and husband.  We can’t leave out there love for being a little edgy and adventurous.  Which includes a state of the art climbing facility.

Slides and rides are my number six top ten at the Ocean Breeze Waterpark. There is something fun for every age group, which is great for our family.  I love that we can take a break from the sand and hit the pools and slides.

Surf Camp for the kids at 8am is a perfect opportunity for my husband and I to relax together.  The kids learn to paddle out and the basics to surfing.  Which will makefor a fun new skill to add to their list.

Exploring the food especially seafood restaurants.  There is nothing that compares to local fresh food.  We love going out to dinner off the beach and enjoying amazing food and an amazing view.

My ninth and probably most exciting must do is para sailing.   Virginia Beach has amazing sites and a beautiful beach, which would make for a fun view.

My last and favorite to do is shopping.  With all the local beach shops, boutiques and nearby mall even my husband and boys enjoy a day of shopping off the beach.  Its great to pick up a few Virginia Beach gifts.
