San Antonio AdventureCon 2012 did not disappoint and I feel completely spoiled by the experience. Since transitioning to a more serious blog I thought it would be a great opportunity for me and my family to accept the SeaWorld AdventureCon invitation. I made a promise to myself that I would put a value on the time I spent away from my kiddos and husband especially when it came to my blog. Being in the blogging world has offered me invitations to some really great places. I told my husband that I would never do anything for free unless the right circumstances came into play. When I first heard about AdventureCon I knew that it would be an opportunity to get my feet wet in the conference world for blogging.
I loved that AdventureCon included families by giving them the opportunity to explore the park while bloggers attended the conference. The boys had no idea what I signed them up for, so as soon as we made it to the SeaWorld AdventureCon family mixer they were so jazzed. I was just thrilled that I finally kept a secret. We entered the mixer with Shamu greeting us in the lobby.
As a blogger, I am constantly looking for ways to improve this huge time-consuming side hustle. My blog started out as a journal about finally getting pregnant with my second child and turned to a place where I have become an influencer of sorts.
The conference has been so much more than I could have ever expected, a phenomenal class with bukoos of writing tips from the amazing Jeff Herrington. An interactive photo class with Sarah Hubbell, thank you Sarah I am certainly taking your tips and going to start crawling around with my kiddos to get those perfect shots.
I am taking my new found knowledge and running, or should I say blogging with it. Tomorrow is a whole new day at SeaWorld and we are hitting Aquatica, yippee.
