My version of a Champagne Martini! This cocktail won drink of the night at our Golden Globes Skinnygirls party.

Okay so technically I didn’t use Champagne, I used Prosecco. To-may-to, to-mah-to it’s all the same, right?! Prosecco is an Italian sparkling white wine made from Prosecco “Glera” grapes. Champagne is a sparkling wine produced from grapes grown in the Champagne region of France. I dare you to tell me a difference if you without knowing.
I had my first Champagne Martini at a local restaurant almost six years ago. It was on a whim of our bartender trying a new recipe on me. I was game, and fell in love with it. every now and then I will ask a bartender to concoct one for me. They usually wing it, and I am cool with that. I decided to finally throw together my own version of a Champagne Martini.
1.5 oz. Skinnygirl cucumber vodka
1/2 ounce orange liqueur
2 oz. Skinnygirl Prosecco
garnish with sugar and cucumber slice
In a shaker mix cucumber vodka, orange liqueur, and fine sugar in a cocktail shaker with ice a 1/3 of ice. Give it a good shaking. Dip the rim of a champagne flute in water and then in sugar. Pour shaker contents in a champagne flute and top with Skinnygirl Prosecco. Add a garnish of cucumber and serve.
It’s a delightful drink and made our list of must have awards show drinks!
