My Mexican Corn HotDog Recipe

With the weather feeling more and more like summer I picked up Ball Park® Beef Franks and Hillshire® Smoked Sausage that are perfect for summer grilling.

Here’s a delicious recipe that combines my two all-time summer grilling foods Mexican elote and hotdogs.

Ingredients

• Ball Park® Beef Franks
• Fresh Corn
• 1 tablespoon mayonnaise per hotdog
• 1 tablespoon Chile powder
• 1 teaspoon cumin
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• Cilantro *use as garnish
• Avocado *use as garnish

In a small bowl add together Chile powder, cumin, salt. Mix together and set aside.

Heat grill to 350 degrees. Peel back corn husks and remove silk. Pull corn husks back over corn and add to grill. Cook corn about 20 minutes, turning midway making sure you evenly cook them. Grill Ball Park beef hotdogs on the grill about 8 minutes turning midway as well. Watch grill to ensure you aren’t leaving the corn or hotdogs to burn.

You will know the hotdogs are ready when they have these beautiful grill marks and start to plump. The corn kernels should be more translucent and soft.

Add a layer (about 1 tablespoon) of mayonnaise onto the beef hot dog. Liberally cut fresh corn off the cob and add to your hotdog.

Add the already mixed spices on top of mayo. I am pretty liberal with my spices, you can add more or less depending on your taste. Add cilantro and avocado slices as garnish and serve.
