Mornings never looked so refreshing. They say you should practice what you preach and I have been preaching a lot about my 2014 goals. Finding healthy alternatives to my meals at home is my biggest change and challenge. Although I am far from a breakfast person, I still want to start the day right. This recipe was made for me at my Rio Star grapefruit cooking class a couple of weeks ago and I am so glad it has made it’s way into my home.
- 1 1/3 Cups Juice from (2) Rio Star Grapefruits
- 8 large strawberries (cut in chunks)
- 2 ripe bananas (cut in chunks)
- 8 ounces strawberry-banana yogurt
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 Cup crushed ice
- Add all ingredients to blender.
- Whirl until smooth.
I absolutely love the sweet and tangy flavors in this smoothie. It is a meal in itself and packs a punch.
