An intro on being The Domestic Goddess

Before I was married, I used to joke that I was going to make the best trophy wife.  I am now married with three children and the reality that I couldn’t just sit around and look pretty all day faded fast.  I have made an ambitious effort to become the domestic goddess I know I could be.  Not only do I want my children and husband to be well taken care of, I also pursue a life that I can thrive on.

Make the best of what you got!  From the car you drive to the place you call home and everything in between treat them like gold.

Learn to do everything better!  Do you know the best way to wash clothes?  The best quick dessert?

Organization will take you far!  I can’t stress enough how important being organized is.  Major organization is great.  From lists, labels, containers, its all part of the process to keeping it together.

Have it all! A stocked pantry, a full fridge, paper goods, seriously you could be ready for a get together on a moments notice.

Thrifty, yes please!  I’m not talking being cheap, I’m talking saving money where you can.  Using coupons, taking advantage of hot deals, requesting freebies, etc.

Another purpose!  Have another part of your life to focus on that isn’t associated with your husband and children. For me it’s my blog.  Sure I talk about my family {to much sometimes}, but I focus some of my daily energy not including them in it.  It is my hobby and obsession sometimes.

To be continued when I dive into more details on being the domestic goddess we all want to be 😉
