I included a few of my Food Network summer favorites to make this delectable 20 minute Apple Pie A La Mode recipe, my favorite summer dessert.

Ingredients:
pizza crust – I use Pillsbury thin crust
1 Tbsp butter cut up
1 granny smith apple cut into bite size pieces
1 Tbsp cinnamon sugar
1 tsp lemon juice
1 Tbsp brown sugar
cooking spray

Preheat over at 400 degrees. Very lightly spray a la mode bowl tin with cooking spray. Unroll pizza crust on flat surface and use the a la mode large side of circle cutter to perfectly cut dough. Fill a la mode tin with dough stretching the sides to completely mold tin.

Mix the rest of the ingredients in a bowl and spread evenly inside a la mode tin over dough.

Don’t worry if the dough seems a little lopsided and stretches off centered.

Use the smaller circle side of the a la mode cutter to cut the tops. Place the tops over and pinch the edges together to close the pocket. Sprinkle powdered sugar and a sliver of melted butter on top.

Place in the oven for 13 minutes.

Take pie’s out of tin and place on Food Network cooling rack for 5 minutes before serving.

Turn over your pie to reveal the pocket and place a scoop of your favorite ice cream inside the Apple pie to make the perfect apple pie a la mode.

What’s your favorite summer desert?
