Homicide Detective Nick Burkhardt of the Portland Police Bureau learns he is descended from a line of “guardians” known as “Grims”. Sort of mythological creatures, he must battle, with help from his friend and partner Detective Hank Griffin. He struggles with shielding his fiancée, from the hazards of his new life.
